The Fernie Half Marathon/3-Runner Relay/10K Sprint has become a classic in southeastern BC with its all-trail course that winds along the Elk River and follows a community trail system that is both challenging and beautiful. With its seamless organization, professional chip timing and easy registration the Fernie Half Marathon is a great choice to end your running season.
The proceeds from this run support local children’s programming in the community including Friends of the Fernie Heritage Library.
Fernie 10K Sprint.

The 10K sprint will start at the Fernie Annex Park at 10am.
The race follows the half marathon course. The course goes out beyond the first transition point, loops back and follows the dike along the Elk River and Fernie Annex Park. When the 10K Sprint runners reach 12th Street, they turn in to Fernie Annex Park and finish the race where it began.
This event is a prize category added to the Half Marathon event (register at: www.zone4.ca/register.asp?id=4248). Racers, Athena (women over 165lbs) and Clydesdale (men over 200lb), who register for this event will be weighed at the start of the race. Prizes will be awarded to the top men and women in this category.
